Key Matchup: Green vs Harden

James Harden had an amazing MVP caliber season this year and for the Rockets to beat the Spurs he will need to be at that level and maybe more. For the Spurs slowing down Harden will come down to Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard with Green getting first dibs to help keep Leonard fresh and out of possible foul trouble. If Green can limit Harden similar to the way Roberson did for the Thunder then Houston will have its hands full keeping up the the Spurs.

X-Factor for Spurs: Kawhi Leonard

Leonard was great during the regular season and deserved to have his name mentioned as an MVP candidate but so far in the postseason he has elevated his play to a level no one is currently at. His advance stats are better than Kobe Bryants best seasons and his defense is lockdown good. If Leonard continues this play against Houston then the Spurs should be in good shape.

X-Factor for Rockets: James Harden

He has been the main reason for the Rockets becoming contenders so its only right that the x-factor be Harden. If he can play at that MVP level and get some help from outside shooters such as Gordon, Anderson and Williams then the Rockets could pull it off.

Analysis: The Spurs and Rockets played 4 times and the final margin was 2, 2, 2, and 6. Despite the Spurs winning 3 games they were one play away from possibly losing 3 games instead. This series should be an exciting dog fight between a perennial contender and the upstart that few saw coming. The Spurs are very tough to beat at home which could be the difference as it feels the home team may win every game in this series.

Prediction: Spurs over Rockets in 7
